In response to rapid growth
during the last three quarters of 2002, Executives at Eagle
Nonwovens, Inc. announce capital expansion plans. A six-meter
wide, Dilo System Group, needlepunch line has been purchased.
The new line will produce felt ranging from 3.0 to 50.0 ounces
per square yard, from 0.020" to 0.375" thick, and up to 200"
wide. Capable of processing as much as ten million pounds per
year, the new equipment doubles the company's current capacity.
Executives expect the line to be operational by the third quarter
of 2003.
To accommodate the impending
increase in business, their 82,000 square foot facility will
also be expanded. Plans for a 60,000 square foot addition are
being finalized. Design and construction contracts are being
negotiated at present. The company's nine-acre site in a new
industrial park can easily house the anticipated expansion.
Eagle Nonwovens, Inc. started
producing materials in August of 2000. Providing innovative
design solutions to technical needlepunch end users in the aerospace,
automotive, health care, filtration, and home furnishings industries.
The company will continue to focus on increasing market share
in established markets. Following a successful strategy of lean,
cost effective manufacturing, the company filled the first line's
capacity after only eighteen months.
